No Known Toxins

Sellery defines “No Known Toxins” as products that are made in accordance with ZDHC standards. No known banned chemicals, as defined by the ZDHC, are intentionally used during production. This is verified through certification or a signed Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) that meets or exceeds ZDHC standards. By managing chemical usage throughout the entire manufacturing process, we protect workers, consumers, land, and waterways.

No Known Toxins is recognizing best-in-class chemical management. This value does NOT include brands who certify their responsible use of hazardous substances, which ensures the safe management of their use and disposal and ensures that no toxins remain in their finished goods. Sellery offers such products as these steps are extremely beneficial and more responsible than traditional processes. These efforts protect consumers, and to some degree protect workers and the environment. However, any use of these toxins ultimately has a negative impact on workers and the environment, especially the communities surrounding these production facilities. As part of the Sellery onboarding process, brands must meet our Minimum Standards, which require responsible chemical management. The No Known Toxins value highlights the brands that are going the extra mile in this area.
